why you should do it
Even with a little bit of space, you can help support species by planting pollinator-friendly plants in your window boxes. Window boxes are small gardens that make it super easy to care for whatever you put in them.
how you can do it
- Purchase a window box, if you don't already have one. You can also make one out of wood if you prefer.
- Analyze your window position — does it get lots of sun? Some shade? This will determine what you can or can't plant.
- Determine what plants are native to your region — these are the most pollinator-friendly plants around.
- Plant out your box, based on your restrictions and native plants.
- Plant your new pals and make sure to take care of them as needed!
